The Daily Rules are used to create the calculation rule the software will use to calculate employees work hours on the specified day.
Shift Times:
- Add a Name to describe this rule
- Now choose whether or not they work a fixed shift or have flexible work hours. Day change should be 00:00 (midnight) by default unless you need day change to happen at another time if setting up a night shift.
Click Save to save this Daily Rule and allow editing on the additional tabs.
Break Times:
You will have to set when your employees take their breaks as well as if they are paid or not.
If you un-tick flexible you can set when your employees take their break Eg. 12:00/12:30.
Rounding:
You have 3 types of rounding.
Round Up Hours - This will round up the time to the nearest X minutes.
Round Down Hours - This will round down the time to the nearest X minutes.
Mid Point Hours - This will round the time whichever is closer to X minutes.
You can round the actual times the employees' log and/or round the total work hours.
Overtime:
Overtime is where you can setup the employees' Overtime rates for payroll needs.
There are two ways ATS Basic can calculate Overtime:
- After X Hours Worked. Eg overtime starts after 7hrs36mins have been worked.
- By Time of Day Eg overtime starts if the employee works after 17:00.
Departments and Locations is where you can setup the Departments and Locations that this Shift will apply to. For example this shift may only apply to the Brisbane location for the Admin Department.
